Old but authentic!

The COLLECTION is from last year, but I think the collection is just right for this year.

I am a big fan of above things. I do not know what do you think, but I love the authenticity!

Assessment: NFS Men Collection

Simon Miller ist Creative Director Men bei NFS. Er sorgte dafür, dass Qualität und erstaunliche Handfertigkeit an der Kollektions noch beteiligt ist. Die Kollektion bietet japanische Denim in verschiedenen authentischen Waschungen.

Ich mag die Kollektion, weil sie eine einheitliche Handschrift trägt. Zwar sind die Kunstharzeffekte und die Waschungen nicht aufwendig, aber dafür besitzt die Kollektion einen sehr authentischen Charakter. Nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig. Genau wie ich es mag.

Die 3D-Falten sehen rund und somit sehr natürlich aus. In der Regel appliziert man Kunstharze, um 3D´s zu fixieren. Es scheint, als seien die Jeanshosen von NFS mit Kunstharz ausgerüstet und erst dann auf Mannequins aufgezogen, um die 3D-Falten zu markieren.  Zum Beispiel auf eine Bohemia. Viele andere Denim-Brands verwenden die unelegante Variante der Faltenmarkierung, wie der der Zylinder- oder Drahtpresse. Nachteil ist, dass die 3D´s sehr spitz und kantig aussehen, im Vergleich zu den runden Falten mit einem Mannequin. Im Falle der Presstechnik, können auch Festigkeitsprobleme entstehen, die durch Kontakthitze von Metall auf Stoff zu stande kommt.

Sowohl das Scraping als auch die Buffies sind ideal geschleift und in Szene gesetzt. Ein ineinander überlaufendes Scrapingbild und gut auf die Grundfarbe abgestimmt. Für ein leichtes Kontrastverhältnis, erfolgte zuvor eine Sprühbleiche (i.d.R. Kaliumpermanganat) oder in einigen Fällen ein Chlorbleichbad. Der Vintage-Look wird mit einer Direktfärbung und auf einigen Jeanshosen zusätzlich mit einer Farbsprühapplikation unterstrichen.

Alles in allem eine gute Arbeit von Herrn Simon. Natürlich kann man nichts falsch machen, wenn man japanisches Denim verwendet. Die Qualität hat´s in sich.

Nur zur Info: Die Bewertung beruht nur auf dem vorhandenen Fotomaterial. Sollte Herr Simon mir einige Jeans zu kommen lassen, könnte ich eine viel detaillierte Bewertung durchführen und euch eine viel tiefgreifende Beurteilung bieten.

Simon Miller is the creative director for NFS. He made sure that quality and amazing craftsmanship is still involved. The line features Japanese denim in different authentic washes. 

I like the collection because it has a uniform handwriting. Although the effects of synthetic resin and washes of the collection not elaborate, but it has a very authentic character . Not too much not too little. Exactly how I like it.

The 3D´s look round and therefore very natural. As a rule, is applied resins to create 3D and to fix it. It seems as if the jeans of NFS equipped with resin and then mounted on mannequins to mark the 3D-folds. For example on a  Bohemia. Many other denim brands use the inelegant variant of the fold mark, such as the cylinder or wire press. Disadvantage is that the 3D's look very sharp and angular, in comparison to the round and naturel (because of flexibel mannequin) 3D´s with a mannequin. In the case of pressing equipment can also be caused strength problems that comes into contact with hot metal to fabric.

The scraping and Buffie are ideally placed in scene. A running into each other and well matched to the image color. For a light contrast ratio, before there was applied a spraybleach (usually potassium) or in some cases a chlorine bleach bath. The vintage look is enhanced with a direct staining and on some jeans with an additional colour spray application for dirty look.

All in all a good work of Mr. Simon. Of course you can not go wrong if you use Japanese denim. The quality has what it takes.

Just for info: The evaluation is based only on the existing photographs. Mr. Simon should send me some jeans, I could perform a much more detailed evaluation and present you a much more thorough assessment.
